I was putting C in the car this morning to take him to grams and he woke up with the biggest smile. That is always a good way to start your day. B left for Iowa yesterday afternoon and it was very hard for him to say goodbye to C. Actually...C was sleeping and B could not leave without waking him up an holding him tight.
Last night I discovered a few new things about C. First off...he likes to eat pork and tomatoes. I am so pleased that he will eat anything. I was hoping SOOOO badly that he would not be a picky eater like me. Also, I discovered that he loves wrapping tissue paper...he loves it like I love spaghetti and spider man! There were gifts layed out on the floor and he grabbed the paper and starting throwing it in air like it was the best thing he has ever seen! He is my love and I adore him.
I will end with this fine quote that I found -
Before you were conceived I wanted you
Before you were born I loved you
Before you were here an hour I would die for you
This is the miracle of life.

The birthday....
So today it is official...C is one. I have a lot of memories that I am reflecting on today. He was still asleep when I left for work this morning but I kissed his sweet face and precious cheek and well just had "a moment". Everyone always told me that you never would be totally prepared for a baby and that time flies. I can now say with absolute authority that they were right. I adore that little boy aka my little man. I hope and pray that he will grow up strong and confident and always know that he is dearly loved. Last night while I was laying in bed he was right next to me and he just crawled over and put his face completely on top of my face and he was jiberring something and giving me sugar all at the same time....I believe he told me he loved me too...in his own way...which is even as sacred as saying I love you verbally. I do not deserve to be loved that way...but I am awfully glad that I am.

I was on my way home from work yesterday and I had C in the car. As a side note...we have a DVD player installed in my vehicle and every time he gets in the car he automatically looks up to see the DVD player...in anxious anticipation. Anyway, he was watching a baby einstein video (which he is a big fan of) and I was looking at him in my rear view mirror and it made my heart melt watching him smile, clap, laugh and squeal in delight. Let me say it again...it just made my heart melt. I suppose I need to remember times like that when I find myself getting frustrated b/c he tries to get in to everything. I tell C all the time I should have named him Curious George!! B is leaving tomorrow and we will miss him but I am sure that he will miss C as well. Tomorrow is the official first b-day for C. I remember it like it was yesterday.....I also remember laboring through Oct 1 and throughout the night and being 7cm dilated by the time I got to the hospital. We will stop there...I am starting to remember some scary things that were to follow. Really nothing else is knew besides what I have mentioned above. Until next time.....
Oh by the way feel free to leave me comments!!!

Pre and Post Party
The party was a success. I realized about 30 minutes into the party that I was going to stop trying to entertain other people and focus on C. I think I was able to find a good medium...being social and also being a mom to my adorable tot. He enjoyed the party but I believe he was a little overstimulated...you just can't make a baby "understand" what is going on. He loved the cake and would have continued to eat it had we not taken it away. I can honestly say he has not caught back up on his sleep yet...nor have I for that matter. It doesn't seem like it has been a year....or even a few months.
Saturday night C started dancing the cutest little jig I have ever layed my eyes on...I can't even explain it. Maybe...it was the AL football game that got him so pumped up...
Life seems complicated right now...so many changes. I guess I better get use to that.
I will end with this quote...I don't know who wrote it but I do know they must have been smart...
"Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing, and wishing you had?" - unknown

I suppose I will blog...
Well right now I should be asleep. Tomorrow...well today really is a big day....Connor's 1st b-day party whoot whoot! I am sure I am more excited than anyone else. It doesn't seem like it has been a year since he was born...I wish time would slow down. My little man is growing to fast and he is just sooooo adorable.
I feel very distracted here lately I have ran a red light two days in a row..ok so I know that is not good. Technically, I stopped in time today so that really shouldn't count. I thought I would give this whole blog thing a try seeing as it might be therapeutic....we will see.
B and I saw a powerful movie tonight called Fireproof. It is a very "real" movie. I recommend it. I am rather boring tonight so I will end with this....
I really think next week I am going to try to be more productive.
I feel like I reside in a fantasy land a lot of times and I should probably not do that so much.
I have found out this week that I really have some good friends (I mean I thought I knew but now I really know). One friend in particular gave me a really sincere card today. I said that I will keep in and read it everyday b/c the things that it said...well lets just say that I need to grasp hold of it.
